Abstract

Due to world economic situation, Electrical Distribution Utilities perform studies for automation and planning of distribution systems prioritizing their economic resources through projects related with technical, economic and social efficiency. During last years, Ecuadorian Electrical Sector has left aside determinant projects related with the efficiency, since there is not a good budget assignment. In this manner, energy losses in the distribution phase range around 13,30% and last inversion performed to mitigate those losses, during 2013 period, was about 25,8 millions of dollars. Thus, this paper present guideline for making decisions using a consistent statistics technique.
