This article compares mind map production tools, analyzes the composition of Japanese vocabulary, draws examples of Japanese vocabulary mind maps, and points out the application methods of mind maps in Japanese vocabulary teaching: realize classification memory of Japanese vocabulary, learn and master Japanese polysemous words, comprehensive use of multiple teaching methods, innovative learning methods of Japanese vocabulary, and extend learning path of Japanese vocabulary.
