Abstract
One of the most common problems in power systems is the unbalanced load and harmonics current that causes losses and interference in power systems. To eliminate this problem, the injection of compensating currents by means of static converters using PWM (pulse width modulation) is one possible solution. This solution needs an algorithm for the real time extraction of the negative sequence component and harmonic components that will be used to generate the reference current for the converter. This paper proposes a new method to obtain the negative and/or harmonic reference currents that requires any coordinate transform and nor signal filtering.
