Deontology of tourism.

Abstract

The importance of ethics in the contemporary world is discussed, with fundamental values as the basis of ethics. Ethical issues are raised concerning the behaviour of the tourists, the inhabitants of the visited localities and ‘the brokers’/tourism administration, tour-operators, hotel staff and tourist information. Finally a proposal of the Declaration on Ethics in Tourism is attached.
