That manufacturing sub-sector has substantial roles to play in the growth, development and sustenance of the Nigerian economy has been ascertained by many researchers and that the Igbo people in the South-East of Nigeria have a lot of stakes in the entrepreneurial development and sustenance of the Nigerian economy is an established truth. But it is appalling to discover that manufacturing outfits in South-East Nigeria have not been given the attention they deserve to be able to make the needed impact on the growth and sustainable development of the area under study in particular and the nation in general. Based on the above, this paper has sought to examine the relevant the literature to build a sustainable framework for the entrepreneurial growth and development of the Nigerian economy using entrepreneurial organizations in South-East Nigeria as a reference point. The study makes use of descriptive and qualitative content analysis in collecting and analyzing relevant data. The study further builds a framework which, if applied, is expected to practically lead to the sustainable growth and development of the Nigerian economy. Findings from the literature show that entrepreneurship has been widely acclaimed by many developed countries of the world as the wheels on which sustainable economies revolve.
