SRR algorithms have strict constraint conditions and require precise motion vector detection. It is not easy to use SRR in HDTV sets that have to work in real time. In particular, HDTV content has motion blur since it is a moving image. The motion blur reduces resolution and makes it difficult to detect motion vectors accurately. Yet despite these obvious problems, the limitations of using SRR in commercial products have not been addressed.
