Approaches to Distribution Modernization

Abstract

In today's dynamic power delivery world, utilities are increasingly focused on electrical distribution systems and reliability. Many companies are modernizing their distribution circuits to enable automated operation, increase real-time visibility to system events and improve network optimization and reliability. The authors of this paper highlight the approaches and lessons learned from supporting a major utility in implementing a system wide distribution modernization project.
