The Mediating Roles of Knowledge Sharing and Technical Learning in The Effects of Information Integration and Formalization on Product Advantage

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how and why information integration and formalization directly affect product advantages. This study adopted a contingency perspective to examine the relationships between two variables(information integration and formalization) and product advantage. To verify the validity of the research framework, it was empirically tested by a Korean sample. The hypotheses were tested using a mediated hierarchical regression analysis. By examining the mediating effects of knowledge sharing and technological learning on the relationships between two variables(information integration and formalization) and product advantage, the results show that the impact of information integration on product advantages is attributed to knowledge sharing and technological learning (complete mediation). In addition, the research also shows that the impact of formalization on product advantages is attributed to knowledge sharing and technological learning (partial mediation).
