Women Victims of Violence: A Comparison of Their Perceptions of Parenting And Desire To Avoid Pregnancy

Abstract

The study was carried out to compare the perceptions of women who were exposed to violence about being a parent and their desire to avoid pregnancy. This cross-sectional study was conducted between 10 October-10 December 2022 with 657 participants using a web-based online questionnaire. Those exposed to verbal violence scored higher than those exposed to physical violence in the study (p0.05). As a result of the research, it is recommended to increase the education level of women, to provide accurate and timely diagnosis and to intervene in violence in the early period, to prevent negative situations that may pose a threat to women's health.
