Abstract

The authors detail modifications made in the control scheme for two separate tin lines which increased yield by improving quality for a relatively small investment. They deal with control modifications made to the helper sections (drives for turning, deflector rolls, conductor rolls, sink rolls, etc.) to reduce scratches and increase prime tin plate yield while keeping cost to a minimum.
