Abstract
This paper proposes a step-up converter aiming for LED driver, which is based on three-end coupled inductor. The equivalent model of three-end coupled inductors and the simplified equivalent model of leakage inductance through the analysis of the working principle are analyzed. Furthermore, the leakage inductance distribution of planar coupled inductors is further studied. The influence of different winding structures on the leakage inductance of coupled inductors is analyzed. An optimized three-end planar coupled inductor is designed for building a low-voltage stress high-frequency DC-DC converter based on the Y-source impedance network, and realized low leakage inductance in order to reduce voltage spikes and oscillations. The experimental verification shows that the system switching devices work in a low voltage stress, low voltage spikes and oscillation state.
