The removal efficiency obtained for these metals using standard solutions and the INPUD wastewater was above 98%. Greater retention of metals was obtained in the plant, mainly in roots and leaves evidencing the importance of this component in metal elimination process. Abstract

This study assessed nickel and total chromium removal using a horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland.
