A combined scheme in communications graduate education: its origin, evolution, and future

Abstract

A discussion is presented of the origin, evolution, present situation, and future proposals of a graduate education program in information technologies that was developed with a modular structure and multiobjective goals in training. The discussion shows the advantages and difficulties of such an approach, as well as some of the possibilities for alleviating the difficulties.<>
