Abstract

The article presents theoretical analyses of short-circuit currents and experimental measurement of difference parameters of the transformer winding in the frequency domain. The first part of the article is focused on mechanical influences of radial and axial forces during short-circuit. These dangerous forces cause mechanical stress in the transformer. The second part of the article is focused on basic diagnostic method and analysis of the power transformers. Finally, the article presents real experimental measurement on transformer winding by frequency method SFRA (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis).
