Abstract
Mobile internet refers to accessing wireless internet anytime and anywhere via mobile devices. Acceptance of mobile internet by individuals is critical to the successful implementation of mobile internet systems. Based on Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and many models in previous studies about mobile internet acceptance, the purpose of this study was to identify the determinants of mobile internet acceptance among university students in Bandung. Data collected from 271 undergraduate students in three private universities in Bandung (Indonesia) was tested against the research model using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with LISREL 8.7 software. The results show that performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition, and perceived flexibility were significant determinants of behavioral intention to use mobile internet. The findings of this study provide several important implications for mobile internet services practitioners and researchers in Indonesia.
