Abstract
in this paper, an optimal open-circuit fault-tolerant control (FTC) strategy in stator nature reference is proposed for a bi-harmonic seven-phase permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM). For single phase open-circuited fault, the reference currents in stator natural coordinate system can be generated by using the principle of mirror symmetry. Not only the high quality of torque with low torque ripple is achieved, but also the stator copper consumption is minimized. This paper will give the detail derivation of the reference currents and verification of the results by simulation.
