Abstract

Interference among wireless links is the main reason for capacity reduction in wireless mesh networks. Allowing multiple radio interface use in a mesh router with different frequency channel is often presented as a possible way to improve the network capacity. One efficient way is using a centralized controller to assign proper frequency channel to radio interfaces which would significantly reduce the interference. Furthermore, proposing a routing protocol which consider interference as a leading factor for finding a path can noticeably increase the overall throughput.
