Abstract

The article offers an analysis of the main concepts of the State Administration Structure Law and their implications in the governance of the state-founded higher education institutions in Latvia. It is argued that despite dated regulated regulation of the Law on Higher Education Institutions, the basic concepts of the State Administration Structure Law (i.e., the concept of a public persons and its internal structure) shall be observed, when deciding upon the internal structure of higher education institutions.
