Abstract

The authors analyze and compare two classes of space-division packet switches: rearrangeable nonblocking and strictly nonblocking. Switch capacity, delay, and packet loss probability are used as the performance measures. Some insights into the rearrangeable nonblocking switch are also provided.<>
