Abstract

A majority of home automation systems developed till date have been focused on only one functionality., typically remote appliance control. The technologies used are largely Bluetooth based., and while a lot has been improved over the years., there is still scope for introducing novel technologies and setups [1]–[3]. This paper aims to develop a more well-rounded home automation system., consisting of a smart surveillance system., a smart energy meter and an IoT based appliance control setup.
