Performance analysis in private and public Cloud infrastructures

Abstract

The performance of Cloud services is a cross-cutting aspect of particular importance because it defines how the service is operating. The main purpose of this paper is to present the results of vaious performance evaluation tests run both in private and public Cloud environments. Performing such analysis helps recommending which type of Cloud is suitable with respect to the application specificity. In addition, tests performed in a private Cloud testbed environment allow recommending a certain type of hypervisor according to the user resource requirements.
