Study on the Connection Between the Specialty Setting of Private Colleges and Regional Economy -- A Case Study of a College in Guangdong Province

Abstract

Private higher education is a very important part of higher education. Taking a college in Guangdong province as an example, this paper analyzes the problems existing in the connection between private undergraduate colleges and regional social and economic development: weak service consciousness, weak foundation for running schools, limited funds, lag in specialty setting and many other factors. The specialty setting and layout of a college in Guangdong are not forward-looking, and it does not fully consider the development of strategic emerging industries in Dongguan, and lacks important human resources support, thus affecting the realization of the local economic development strategy.
