Abstract

The right to vote is a fundamental right and a constitutional right that must be protected by the state. Every Indonesian citizen who has reached the age of 17 (seventeen) years or more, is married, or has ever been married and meets the requirements to vote is given the right to vote and every voter must be registered in the voter list. This study aims to determine the synergy of the roles of election organizers, government and society in realizing the protection of citizens' right to vote in elections. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and document studies. Based on the results of the research, an accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive voter list has not been realized due to the absence of policy synchronization and the low awareness and participation of the public in the preparation of the voter list.
