The study established a bended learning mode of Spiral Sudoku exploiting Weibo and WeChat to allow students to learn English anywhere and anytime. To examine the effectiveness of the learning model, 34 non-English-major freshmen (NEMF) in the ZheJiang University of Technology participated in a one-way quasi-experiment. It was found that all participants loved Spiral Sudoku blended learning mode, 91.2% of them improved on their oral English and 82.3% of them improved on their reading comprehension.
