Abstract
This paper, considering a simple road network, concludes one origin-destination pair, two-route network and a diverge and a merge, analysis some consequences of queue spillback, proposes exact formulas for traffic flow patterns, and two typical oscillation solutions are obtained, one of which is decreasing and the other is periodic.
