We know that multiphase motors provide more degrees of freedom that can be used to make the motor more fault tolerant. A safety operation of the motor is one of the most important topics in the field today. This is due to the massive introduction of electric vehicles. This work deals with the fault tolerant for a five-phase induction machine. Abstract

Research on multiphase machines is a hot topic in the field of power electronics and drives. Due to the greater number of phases, they provide better properties. Research in this area is moving forward rapidly. There are already many studies that compare the properties of conventional three-phase induction machines with multiphase machines. One of the most frequently compared features is the fault tolerance of the engine. We know that multiphase motors provide more degrees of freedom that can be used to make the motor more fault tolerant. A safety operation of the motor is one of the most important topics in the field today. This is due to the massive introduction of electric vehicles. This work deals with the fault tolerant for a five-phase induction machine. The article presents interesting results with the possibility of controlling of five-phase induction motor, which ensures the improvement of the properties during the failure.
