Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Associated with Fatness: A Case Report and Literature Review

Abstract

Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy LGMD is a rare genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle atrophy in the scapular and pelvic regions. Associated with pregnancy, LGMD represents a management challenge, because of preexisting or exaggerated pregnancy complications. In the light of a clinical case and through a review of the literature, we will discuss the different aspects of this pregnancy-related pathology.
