Quantification of magnetic nanoparticles in living cells

Abstract

We demonstrated the feasibility to quantify MNP uptake by nonadherent living THP-1 cells. The iron quantification by MPS is specific to MNP iron and is not distorted by biological iron in contrast to phenantrolin staining.
