Abstract

Organizational and Work Psychology is specifically concerned with how and why to do, in organizations and in work in general, it seeks to specialize in pursuing the appropriate people to feed growth and train them to carry out tasks necessary for the organization. Finally, this discipline plays a strategic role for organizational excellence, fundamental to face competitive challenges such as globalization, the use of new technologies and intellectual capital. The articulation of Organizational Sociology with Knowledge Management can improve customer service and the relationship with stakeholders, increase employee autonomy, attract and retain the best employees, facilitate obtaining information and creating new knowledge. As a result, it uses the dispersed intelligence in the organization, adopts better quality decisions, creates operational processes and promotes the integration of the islands of knowledge existing in the organization. Organizational and Work Psychology helps the individual and the organization to overcome barriers to individual and group development through learning, enabling the labor and social adjustment required by organizations and society.
