Abstract

This article presents the Genetic Algorithm (GA) based design of a PID controller for the speed control of a BLDC motor. The controller is realized using a second generation current conveyor (CCII) circuit. The uniqueness of the proposed approach is that the controller is realized using a single CCII circuit. To validate the design, simulations are performed using the AD844 IC and the results in the time domain are presented.
