Standard For Software Reliability Engineering

Abstract

This tutorial will use the "ANWAIAA Recommended Practice for Software Reliability" as a baseline, with updates from recent SRE developments. The recommended practice defines a generic procedure for applying Software Reliability Engineering (SRE), recommends model selection criteria, recommends an initial model set, describes a data base architecture to support SRE, and describes available tools. Knowing how to develop a software reliability process and how to predict software reliability is of high interest in all areas of the computer industry.
