PARTICIPATION AND CITIZENSHIP: THE VOTE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE HUMAN SCIENCES

Abstract

The society in which we live is marked by the advancement and access to information,this reality covers all fields of survival, including the political sphere. In this context, theschool establishes itself as an environment where the analysis of concepts, historical factsthat interfere in social life and that consequently must be understood by all citizens areprovided. Therefore, the disciplines that form the area of Human Sciences in HighSchool, Philosophy, History, Geography and Sociology present themselves as mediatorsin the analysis of these concepts, social, historical and economic facts in order for thecitizen to develop recognition and a critical perception regarding their social participationin the exercise of citizenship. The project's actions seek, according to theorists and textspresented in the aforementioned disciplines, to confront different analyzes and propose tothe student a theoretical basis for their citizenship education, based on respect for thediversity of ideas on the subject, the analysis of sources and in the debate , in whichstudents raise their arguments and base their arguments with knowledge and examples ofreality experienced on a global, local and national scale.
