Abstract
Clinical genetic studies have shown that if people with mental health condition have the closer blood relationship, his or her offspring will have the higher prevalence of mental diseases. This paper has covered schizophrenia, which was formerly known as early-onset dementia, a common psychiatric disorder with unknown etiology. It usually occurs among young adults and leads to several obstacles in thinking, emotion, perception, behavior, and personality, and “split” of mental activity. Individuals with multiple episodes turn into a chronic state, being generally unconscious and mentally impaired. Nevertheless, schizophrenia does not mean that one cannot lead a fulfilling and meaningful life and rehabilitation is still possible. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent complications and improve prognosis. Despite the fact that most patients have no violent criminal record, schizophrenic patients are often labeled as treacherous people under the sensational exaggeration of the media. The auditory hallucinations are thought to be dangerous, but in fact the voices they hear are mostly self-harm rather than hurting others. Further, the paper has validated that, the patient can choose to refuse to follow the auditory hallucination commands. Proper treatment, effective self-help, as well as a healthy sustenance system enable numerous people to regulate their symptoms, live independently and work, establish satisfying relational associations and enjoy evocative lives.
