Abstract

The transverse polarization of the electrons emitted in the decay of polarized 8Li has been measured. The magnitude R of the T‐odd correlation J↘⋅(p↘e×s↘e) between the directions of the nuclear spin J↘, the momentum p↘e, and the spin s↘e of the electrons has been determined. The present result R=0.004±0.014 is consistent with time reversal invariance.
