Abstract

This paper presents modeling and simulation of a standalone PV (Photo-Voltaic) system with upgraded multilevel Inverter using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The modeling includes a 25 level inverter which claims that the total harmonic distortion (THD) reduced to approximately 3%. The proposed 25 level inverter uses only 12 numbers of switches which is very less than that of diode clamped, capacitor clamped and cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter (MLI).
