This publication is a translation of the dialogue “Theophrastus,”written in the fifth century A.D. by the eminent rhetorician Aeneas of Gaza. The dialogue criticizes the Neo-Platonic views on the transmigration of souls and the eternity of the world from a Christian perspective. The translation is provided with a preface and detailed commentary.
