Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic had a big impact in the field of education, where education currently has to be done online. The stone tools used in learning are WA, email, google zoom, and google meet. How effective this learning needs to be reviewed so that the research objective is formulated, namely to examine the effectiveness of synchronous and asynchronous learning in online learning from the aspect of student learning outcomes. the type of research conducted is quasi-experimental with a post-test-only group design. The number of samples in this study was 115 people who were divided into two groups, namely the control group and the experimental group. The data collection method used is a multiple-choice test. The data analysis used was an independent t-test. The results of the study indicate that learning using the synchronous and asynchronous combination method is effectively applied, this is indicated by the sig value. 0.00 which is less than 0.05. So, learning with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous methods is effectively applied in the learning process, so that it can be an alternative learning method when online or offline.
