Abstract

In paper present the problem of non-contact measurements of the electric field is very relevant. Such measurements are necessary for remote monitoring of powerful power plants, including power line parameters such as discharge to the corona. In the paper the sequence of calculation power losses of corona discharge is presented. The power losses of corona discharge for extra high voltage transmission lines are calculated. In the work, a system for determining power losses per corona is introduced, the principle of operation of which is based on modern optical means for measuring electric field strength. Shown on the example of really working lines are the values of power losses per corona. To solve the problem of finding the functional dependence of losses on the corona from the voltage and other parameters, it is necessary to create and apply methods and means. After the adopted comments, the work focuses on the urgency of the problem of monitoring the total losses of active power, primarily losses on corona wires. Monitoring the values of power losses per corona by isolating them from the total ones by preliminary measuring the power at the ends of the line is not automated and does not allow real-time use of effective measures and technical means to increase the efficiency of the ultra-high voltage power line. The paper presents the results of calculations through experimental and analytical derived formulas to determine the total, technological and power losses per corona. Based on the results obtained, a comparative analysis of calculations by formulas for subsequent verification was made with the developed system for measuring power losses per corona.
