Abstract

Recent advances in the fabrication of millimeter-wave systems using integrated-circuit technology, have stimulated considerable interest in the development of periodic corrugations for applications such as filters, resonators, couplers and leaky-wave antennas. The advantages of these structures are that they may be easily fabricated on a uniform dielectric waveguide which can be integrated with other components to form a complete millimeter-wave system, thus greatly reducing the cost, size and weight.
