The article proposes a substantiation of the need for high-quality teaching of this academic subject, its importance for the formation of a positive ethnic and civic identity as an essential condition for the development of a democratic society in our country. The main stages of preparation and implementation of the didactic support of this course are traced. Achievements and shortcomings in the work of the Ministry of Education in this matter are analyzed. Attempts are being made to identify the causes of many shortcomings. Indeed, today we can say that the efforts made by officials of the Ministry of Education only worsen the already difficult situation with the teaching of the most important academic discipline. Abstract
The article deals with the most urgent problems of studying the course “History, culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people” in pre-university educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova.
