Abstract
Objective
To evaluate the effectiveness of different teaching methods of medical nursing in nursing baccalaureate program.
Methods
We searched papers published from January 2000 to December 2018 in Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Wanfang Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and China Science and Technology Journal Database on March 1, 2019. Studies were eligible according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The methodological quality of included studies was assessed according to the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions 5.1.0 by two reviewers independently. The meta-analysis was conducted by Review Manager 5.3 software.
Results
Thirty-nine studies were included in this study and the quality all rated B. They are summarized as case-based learning teaching method of cooperative learning, situational simulative teaching method, problem-based learning teaching method, Internet-based teaching method, multiple teaching method and others, with 11 studies, 8 studies, 5 studies, 5 studies, 3 studies and 7 studies, respectively. Compared with the control group, teaching reform methods have achieved a certain teaching effect. However, there have some defects in the study design about group allocation, implement method and baseline comparison.
Conclusions
There are diverse teaching methods in Medical Nursing, these teaching methods have certain advantages compared with traditional methods, and further research needed to be more rigorous in the teaching design.
