Abstract
This article aims to explore entrepreneurship education in French graduate engineering schools from different angles and consider future orientations. First, we discuss the specific context of entrepreneurship from economic, social, cultural and educational perspectives. After the contextualization, we examine the current situation of entrepreneurship education by emphasizing the most important characteristics through contrasts and comparisons. Then, we identify three fundamental issues of entrepreneurship education such as the improvement of engineering students' creativity, interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial thinking. We outline the meaning of these capacities for engineering students in their future professional career to operate successfully as a modern entrepreneurial engineer. Finally, we point out the importance of the cultural context and the consideration of specific features in the future development of engineering entrepreneurship education.
