Abstract

In this paper, a new learning method using augmented reality (AR) and projection type smart devices is proposed. Placing and moving two types of markers, atom and molecular structure composed by the atom markers, a user is provided overlaid illustrations and animations in the real world by the proposed system, through which the user can manipulate the pseudo experiments. The proposed system is expected for junior high school students to contribute their deep understanding of the formation of the chemical reaction formulas, and the number of atoms and molecules.
