Abstract

Using the energy of high-coercivity permanent magnets can improve the energy efficiency of many electromechanical converters. The article deals with the integration of permanent magnets in the design of a radial active magnetic bearing. The energy consumption of a system with permanent magnets is compared with the traditional design of a radial suspension. The positive effect of using the energy of permanent magnets to compensate for the static mechanical load on the supports is established.
