Abstract

The researcher tackles the freedom of speech and expression in the light of media Islamicthought,the researcher proceeded the importance of the research and the reasons behind choosing it. In addition to the urgent need for intellectuals working in the field to authenticate the discipline and its positive impact on the reality of Muslims in the world, the researcher also considered it as a new additional aspect for human library. The research problem is embedded in a fundamental question: How does the Islamic media thought views the freedom of speech, and how can a future vision be built to promote it? As the research aims to recognize what is the Islamic media thought! And its principles. The research highlighted some legislations ruling it and its relation to the freedom of speech as well as building future view on promoting Islamic media thought and its effect on freedom of speech. The research based on descriptive method that describes, explains and analyze concepts, the researcher also has used the tool of observation. The most important findings are that Islamic heritage is rich with freedom of speech and expression, media discourse should be authenticated to address crises and dilemmas that humanity face. The psychological and educational preparation of the media contributes positively to the professional and functional application of the exercises of freedom of speech.
