Abstract
The electric vehicles are increasingly present and continues to gain importance following political decisions. In this case, large amounts of used batteries will need to be treated. The total demand for electric storage devices is estimated to be 200 GWh by 2025. The duration of the process of degradation in nature of an electrical storage device is estimated to be around over 5000 years. Life cycle length is a very important parameter. Although the device as such does not pose a health hazard, it has disastrous consequences for the environment, environment in various forms (soil pollution, water pollution), due to the thousands of years in which the materials of their component naturally degrade (Cd, Ni, Li, Co, Mn, Al. Fe, Hg). The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the results of research on extending the life of Lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles. The paper presents the research results and some methods of recycling and prolonging the life for several types of electric charge batteries.
