Abstract

the role of the principal of SDN Karang Mekar 1 Banjarmasin in implementing school-based management of the adiwitaya program. This school is intended by the City of Banjarmasin Environmental Services Office starting in 2015 managing the Adiwiyata program. This research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques from premier and secondary sources in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses interactive data analysis namely power reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Data validity test is done by triangulation. the results of the study into the first four parts of the principal's role in compiling work plans, secondly the roles of principals implementing work plans, thirdly principals carry out monitoring and evaluation and four factors support and inhibit
