Abstract

This paper reviews a general layout methodology for compact integrated inductor design. The compact layout methodology enables uncoupled inductor layouts with compact footprint without degrading individual inductor performance. The design methodology is demonstrated on two application examples of compact output matching network (OMN) redesign for a commercial 28 GHz LNA and 5.8 GHz PA.
