Abstract
. The article covers the issue of preparation for the 11 th Polish Pedagogical Congress and its holding on September 20 - 22, 2022, in Poznan (Poland). The authors are Professor Agnieszka Cybal - Mihalska, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Chairman of the Pedagogical Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Professor Piotr Kostylo, Chairman of the Polish Educational Research Association. Preparations for the Congress began one month and a half before its holding and were characterised as strategic. One of the tasks at the initial stage of preparation was choosing the slogan for the Congress. This slogan became: “ Break. Let us build a better world within ourselves and between us ”. The Congress is presented as a set of carefully organised scientific, public and social events, due to which, on the one hand, it was possible to demonstrate the scientific achievements of its participants. Moreover, on the other hand, the whole community of Polish teachers and scientists could better get to know each other and integrate. A particular topic during the preparation for the Congress and its holding was the meeting of representatives of Polish pedagogy with their counterparts from Ukraine. The expediency of inviting Ukrainian pedagogues - scientists for the 11 th Congress became imperative for the organisers after the terrible attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine. The authors analyse the main events during the Congress with the participation of guests from Ukraine and emphasise the solidarity of the Polish pedagogical community with the entire Ukrainian society.
