Abstract

The research topic is relevant as a person risks injuries that violate the functions of the lower extremities for all their life at every step. Every year, up to twelve million patients with musculoskeletal diseases and injuries of various nature and localization are registered in Russian medical institutions. As practical experience shows, after injuries of the upper and lower extremities, all patients, to one degree or another, need restorative treatment and rehabilitation. A characteristic feature for treatment of patients with injuries of the upper and lower extremities is the duration with the difficulties of restorative treatment. Classes in the pool are a necessary addition to any restorative treatment and wellness procedures, because there are many indications for them, but there are not so many contraindications. Hydrokinesiotherapy helps well in the postoperative period in traumatological patients, together with the medication treatment relieves pain, and improves the patient’s condition. This method of treatment and recovery is called hydrokinesiotherapy. We present an overview of the current works of national and foreign scientists published in publicly available electronic specialized medical publications on this restorative method.
